The company wanted a mascot that would appeal to both children and adults, and embody the irresistibly cheesy and crunchy nature of their product. The advertising agency, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, came up with the idea of a suave and sly cheetah as the perfect embodiment of the snack's qualities.
