Lamborghini Countach LPS

Name a car that is synonymous with the futuristic, neon lit aesthetic; retrowave. A car that’d probably come to mind for most people including non-car people (granted they know a bit about cars and is to a certain extent cultured) would be the iconic DeLorean DMC12, a car that was made famous thanks to the Back To The Future trilogy. Whilst that is totally an acceptable answer, if we’re being honest, looks aside, it didn’t really meet people’s expectations from a technical and performance standpoint. So what would be the second car to come to mind? The Countach. First presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show of 1974, it rendered all previous car designs obsolete. It’s everything the DeLorean DMC12 has visually, sharp edges with Italian-wedge styling, giving it a futuristic look - but better. Performance-wise, it’s far ahead of the DMC12, no surprise there, producing a staggering 350hp from Lamborghini’s signature V12 engine which for 1978, was more than impressive. In a nutshell, this is the car that you need if you love both retrowave aesthetic and retro powerful supercars.
